Ciacho (2010)

Basia (Marta Żmuda Trzebiatowska) works as a subcommissioner in the Central Bureau of Investigation. She is in love with her boss, Inspector Jan Kępski (Tomasz Kot), one of the most respected figures in the Polish police. Meanwhile, a cocaine shipment is attacked. During the operation, Officer Kępski reveals his true colors. Basia, who is with him, is arrested on charges of collaborating with a criminal organization and murdering two gangsters and an on-duty police officer. A gangster known as “Ciasny Wiesiek” (Wojciech Mecwaldowski) gives testimony incriminating her. The subcommissioner faces 25 years in prison. She is assigned a court-appointed lawyer. Attorney Elżbieta Rudnicka (Marieta Żukowska) has handled only divorce cases until now. In this situation, Basia’s brothers—Dawid (Tomasz Karolak), a gynecologist; Krzyś (Marcin Bosak), an IT specialist; and Karolek (Paweł Małaszyński), a martial arts enthusiast—decide to do everything they can to save their sister. To start, they plan to force “Ciasny Wiesiek,” who is in the hospital, to change his testimony.
