Full plot (contains spoilers)

Cinderella is an ambitious young woman who dreams of establishing her shop, Dresses by Ella. After she catches the eye of Prince Robert in passing, he disguises himself as a commoner and sets out in hopes of meeting her. Robert finds Ella among the local market vendors, buys her dress for triple the price, and invites her to a ball. On the day of the ball, her stepmother Vivian forbids her from attending and throws ink on her dress so only her daughters can go. However, her fairy godparent Fab G uses magic to outfit her in a gown and glass shoes, taking her to the ball in a carriage. There, she meets Queen Tatiana and Robert's sister Princess Gwen. When Robert proposes, Ella refuses, fearing marriage will end her dressmaking dreams. She leaves at midnight, throwing a glass slipper. The next day, Vivian tries to force Ella to marry Thomas the vegetable merchant. With the help of Queen Beatrice, King Rowan accepts Robert's wish to marry a commoner. Ella is reunited with Robert in a forest, where they profess their love. They reach the market to show her designs to Tatiana, who invites her to travel the world. Robert introduces Ella to the king and queen, and they decide to travel the world together. This nullifies Robert's ascension to the throne, and Rowan names Gwen first in line to the throne.
