After surviving a heart attack, Randal Graves decides to turn his life's work at a convenience store into a movie.
The story
Fifteen years after Dante and Randal bought the Quick Stop convenience store, the pair's lives continue much as before. However, after Randal suffers a severe heart attack, he decides he needs a new purpose and enlists his friends and fellow clerks to make a movie about their lives at the store that started it all. Dante is still grieving over the deaths of his wife and daughter. As Randal pushes to make the film, he decides to write, direct, and star in it, casting their friends and actual customers to play themselves.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Fifteen years after buying the Quick Stop, Dante and Randal continue their routine, while Jay and Silent Bob run a nearby marijuana dispensary. After Randal suffers a heart attack, Elias becomes a Satanist, and Randal decides to make a movie about their time at the store. Randal casts friends and customers, including Veronica, while Dante acts as producer. During production, Dante becomes exasperated with Randal's micromanagement and suffers a heart attack of his own. Randal initially leaves him at the hospital but feels consumed with guilt after Elias reveals Dante's financial deal with Emma. Randal finishes the movie, re-editing it so Dante is the main character, and shows it to him. Dante dies peacefully while watching it. Later, Emma arrives to collect a loan, but Elias gives her the money. Randal is joined by the spirit of Dante, and it is revealed he continued making movies until age 90.
