Eight friends at a dinner party find their reality fractured when a passing comet causes a power outage and the appearance of doppelgängers.

The story

On the night that Miller's Comet passes Earth, eight friends gather for a dinner party at the home of couple Mike and Lee. The gathering is interrupted by a power outage, leaving the group in the dark. When they venture outside, they notice a nearby house is lit, and a series of strange occurrences begin to unfold. As the friends attempt to investigate the situation, they discover that the comet's presence has caused a rift in reality, forcing them to confront the unsettling possibility that they are no longer alone in their own home or in their own timeline.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

During a dinner party on the night of Miller's Comet, a power outage occurs, and the group discovers a nearby house that appears to be an alternate version of their own. They find evidence of a split in reality, including notes and photos of themselves. They eventually realize that several people in the room are actually from different realities. The tension escalates as they realize the comet has created multiple overlapping realities. Emily eventually discovers she is from a different reality and takes the place of her double in a neighboring house to ensure her own survival. The film ends with a sense of ambiguity as the characters deal with the consequences of the cosmic event.
