A tense drama dramatizes the 1942 Wannsee Conference where Nazi officials coordinated the 'Final Solution.'

The story

On January 20, 1942, a group of Nazi German officials gathers at a villa in Wannsee. Chaired by Reinhard Heydrich, the meeting is convened to establish a 'complete solution of the Jewish question' across German-occupied territories. The film utilizes an authentic script based on the only surviving transcript of the meeting to explore the internal dynamics and psychology of the officials involved. As the men debate the logistics of 'evacuation' and the challenges of maintaining the Jewish population in the Reich's sphere of influence, the reality of their planned actions begins to surface through intense debate and internal conflict.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

During the Wannsee Conference, Reinhard Heydrich and Adolf Eichmann lead a group of officials to coordinate the 'Final Solution.' The meeting begins with a discussion on the 'evacuation' of Jews, which Dr. Rudolf Lange forces Heydrich to clarify as extermination. The officials debate various methods, including sterilization and execution by firing squad, before Heydrich reveals the established plan: mass murder using carbon monoxide gas and crematoriums. Eichmann reveals that extermination camps are already being prepared in secret. Heydrich intimidates several dissenters, including Stuckart and Kritzinger, to ensure their compliance. After the meeting, Heydrich shares a cautionary tale with his subordinates about the consequences of hatred. The film concludes with a brief account of the fates of the officials and a post-script revealing that the only surviving record of the meeting was a copy found by the US Army in 1947.
