A hitman, a rookie cop, and a con artist find themselves trapped in a small-town police station during a violent standoff.

The story

Con artist and fixer Teddy Murretto is on the run in a bullet-riddled unmarked police car, which breaks down near Gun Creek, Nevada. As rookie police officer Valerie Young breaks up a brawl outside a casino, Murretto sucker-punches her to intentionally be taken to jail, away from his pursuers. However, hitman Bob Viddick pretends to be a drunk driver, getting himself locked up at the same police station. Placed in separate cells, Viddick reveals his identity to Murretto. The situation escalates as Viddick sets off a fire alarm, leading to a chaotic confrontation within the station.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Con artist Teddy Murretto is fleeing pursuers in a broken-down police car near Gun Creek, Nevada. He intentionally gets arrested by rookie officer Valerie Young to escape his enemies, but hitman Bob Viddick also ends up in the same station. Inside the cells, Viddick reveals his identity. Viddick sets off a fire alarm using an incendiary device and takes a gun from Sergeant Mitchell. Young returns Viddick to his cell and saves a wounded man. Murretto explains he was trying to buy off the state's attorney general, who was killed, and is now being hunted by the mob. Young learns that Murretto's family was killed by corrupt officers. A rival hitman, Anthony Lamb, arrives and begins a massacre at the station. Young seals herself in the holding cells with Murretto and Viddick but is wounded by a ricochet. Huber, a corrupt officer in league with Lamb, attempts to break in. Murretto convinces the wounded Young to let him out to get medical supplies. Two officers are killed by Huber and Lamb, then ambushed by Murretto. Viddick tortures Huber while Murretto stalks Lamb. Lamb kills Huber by mistake and is stabbed by Viddick. Murretto shoots Viddick before killing Lamb. Murretto sets the station on fire, but Young confronts him, wounding him. Young is shot by Detective Deena Schier but saved by her armor; Schier is killed by Viddick. Viddick kills Murretto, takes his briefcase, and escapes. Young pursues him in an ambulance.
