Wile E. Coyote enlists a personal injury lawyer to sue the Acme Corporation for its history of selling him faulty products.
The story
In a world where cartoon characters co-exist amongst humans, Wile E. Coyote is tired of failing to catch the Road Runner. He discovers a personal injury law firm in Albuquerque that specializes in cases involving Acme products. Wile E. meets with the firm's senior partner, Kevin Avery, to sue the Acme Corporation for the various defective devices used in his pursuit of the Road Runner. While the firm's partners are initially hesitant to take on such a large corporation, Wile E. refuses to settle, forcing a legal battle to determine the fate of the products and the characters involved.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
In 1992, a scientist named Dr. Lorre is imprisoned by Acme. Thirty years later, Wile E. Coyote seeks legal action against Acme Corporation for their faulty products. He teams up with Kevin Avery, a lawyer who initially wants to settle but is pushed by Wile E. to fight. The case uncovers 'Project Sisyphus,' a program where Acme used cartoon characters as test subjects for dangerous products. The firm discovers that the whistleblower is Bugs Bunny. During a trial, the truth is suppressed, leading to a congressional hearing in Washington, D.C. Wile E. and Kevin eventually reconcile before the hearing. At the hearing, the Road Runner testifies about the harm caused by Acme, and Wile E. eventually traps the Acme team. Following the hearing, a federal investigation leads to the arrest of Acme executives, and Dr. Lorre is freed. Wile E. and the Road Runner resume their chase.
