A YouTuber agrees to film a documentary with a man who claims to be a serial killer, only to find herself in a deadly game of psychological manipulation.

The story

A prolific serial killer named Aaron, facing a midlife crisis on his fortieth birthday, seeks a new way to interact with his victims. He lures YouTuber Sara to his remote cabin under the guise of a documentary. Aaron offers her a deal: she can live for 24 hours if she records his life story. Despite her skepticism, Sara agrees to film him, hoping the content will boost her unsuccessful web series. As the day progresses, Aaron struggles to intimidate her while she plays along with his eccentricities, leading to a tense atmosphere of mutual doubt and escalating psychological pressure.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Aaron, a serial killer, lures YouTuber Sara to his remote cabin to film a documentary about his life. He claims he will let her live for 24 hours if she records him. Sara, doubting his claims, agrees to film him to boost her web series. Throughout the day, Aaron tries to intimidate her, but Sara remains skeptical of his identity as a killer. Eventually, Aaron reveals his plan to have Sara kill him to conclude the documentary. He stages a suicide attempt, which horrifies her. During a conversation, Aaron admits he is a virgin; Sara offers to kiss him, and he agrees. Aaron then takes her into the woods, gives her a heart-shaped locket, and shows her an open grave. He stabs himself in the stomach and demands she stab herself to mirror Romeo and Juliet. When she tries to flee, he stabs her and drags her to the grave. As Aaron gives a closing monologue to the camera, a still-alive Sara emerges from the grave, strikes him with a shovel, and flees. The film ends with Sara being recorded by an unidentified individual whistling a tune from Aaron's videos.
