A videographer's job to record a dying man's video diary turns into a nightmare when he realizes his client is a dangerous predator.

The story

Strapped for cash, videographer Aaron Franklin accepts an online job request to travel to a remote cabin in Crestline, California, where he meets his client, Josef. Josef claims to have an inoperable brain tumor and wants Aaron to record a single day's video diary for his unborn child. As the filming progresses, Josef's behavior becomes increasingly eccentric and unsettling. Aaron begins to notice inconsistencies in Josef's stories and feels a growing sense of unease. The situation escalates as the boundary between a professional assignment and a personal threat begins to blur, leaving Aaron to question the safety of his situation in the remote location.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Aaron Franklin travels to a remote cabin to film a video diary for a man named Josef, who claims to be dying of a brain tumor. During the shoot, Josef exhibits erratic behavior and reveals a disturbing obsession with a wolf mask named 'Peachfuzz.' The tension peaks when Josef admits to stalking Aaron and reveals a history of violence. After a confrontation where Aaron attempts to flee, he is eventually stalked by Josef, who begins sending him items in the mail, including a knife and a locket. Despite the danger, Aaron eventually agrees to meet Josef at Lake Gregory to 'make amends.' During this meeting, Josef—now calling himself Bill—murders Aaron from behind while wearing the Peachfuzz mask. The film ends with Josef, as Bill, preparing to record the next victim, showcasing a collection of tapes from his previous victims.
