The story

Twenty-four-year-old Antonia Schneider has suffered panic attacks ever since she was at the 2010 Love Parade disaster. After vandalizing the memorial at the tunnel, she flees from police and is picked up by Sascha, a passing taxi driver who chooses not to report her despite a manhunt. Antonia later learns from Paul, leader of the “Rampe” support group, that Sascha was partly responsible for the catastrophe in his former role as an expert assessor. Determined to hold him accountable, Antonia tells Sascha’s 14-year-old son Jasper about his father’s misconduct, setting off a personal conflict that entangles the family and Antonia’s own attempts to cope.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

The story centers on 24-year-old Antonia Schneider. She was at the 2010 Love Parade disaster and has suffered from panic attacks ever since. After vandalizing the memorial at the tunnel, she has to flee from two police officers and is picked up by Sascha, a taxi driver who happens to be passing by. He does not report her, even though a manhunt has been launched. From Paul, the leader of the “Rampe” support group, Antonia learns that Sascha was partly responsible for the catastrophe at the time, in his role as an expert assessor. Antonia now wants to punish him for it. She tells his 14-year-old son, Jasper, about his father’s misconduct and then seduces the boy. Antonia’s father, Thomas, also gets physical with Sascha and calls him a “murderer.” Antonia is thrown out of the house because of her own misconduct. At the support group, Antonia confesses that she is in love with Sascha. One of the members asks her to leave the group. Antonia shows up at a concert by her father’s band. She has another panic attack, and the concert has to be interrupted, but her father is proud of her anyway. Antonia gets into Sascha’s taxi, and the two drive off.
