An overlooked boy brings an old Mini Cooper to life and sets off with it to find the brother he misses.
The story
Eleven-year-old Felix is neglected by his adoptive parents and longs for the return of his brother Charlie, who lives far away. He spends his days in the garage, modifying an old yellow MINI Cooper with computer parts to create what he calls a “secret car.” When his neighbor Rasmus gives him a laptop, Felix connects the vehicle to the internet. The car accidentally downloads a top-secret program made by programmer Anna Dixon, and the vehicle comes to life as Charlie 2. Felix and his extraordinary new companion then set out to find Charlie, while the corporation behind the program pursues them.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Felix is an 11-year-old boy who is neglected by his adoptive parents. He eagerly awaits the return of his brother Charlie, the only person who paid attention to him, but who now lives far away. Meanwhile, Felix spends his days playing in the garage with an old yellow MINI Cooper, adding computer parts and other components to build a “secret car.” One day, his friendly neighbor Rasmus gives him a laptop, which Felix uses to connect the car to the internet. By accident, the car downloads a top-secret program created by programmer Anna Dixon, which ends up bringing the vehicle to life (now called Charlie 2). Together, Felix and the car set off in search of Charlie, while being pursued by the Cybronics corporation, which wants to recover the program inside Charlie 2.
