Das Wirtshaus der sündigen Töchter (1978)

The identical blonde twin sisters Lilli and Christl live in the countryside in Upper Bavaria. Although they are identical twins, Lilli seems much prettier and attracts men’s attention. Since Christl does the stable work, she looks unkempt, dresses unflatteringly, and her crude manner drives every man away. Given her lack of prospects, Christl has no interest at all in starting a relationship: she suspects financial motives behind every come-on, and is usually right. In fact, most of Lilli’s romantic approaches are initiated for very selfish reasons, since she will receive her share of the inheritance only once her older sister is married. She even compels her boyfriend Florian to sleep with Christel, and he actually succeeds—indeed, he is the only one who does. But he makes the situation even worse by confessing that he slept with her only because Lilli told him to. A sly dowry hunter and an attractive drifter both come away empty-handed. The guru, who has already slept with every woman and every tourist while swinging from a vine, also ends up with a burned backside, despite Christel’s promise that he would get to see a hot pair of panties: she had told him to turn around, and he had admitted beforehand that Lilli had sent him. Completely desperate, Christel locks herself in her room, and everyone fears she might hurt herself. Instead, she makes herself beautiful, and when she comes out of the room she looks exactly like her twin sister. Flori immediately scoops her up in his arms and carries her over the bedroom threshold to have sex. Flori promises to marry Christel, which also satisfies Lilli, who will now receive her share of the inheritance.
