A boy sets out to prove that the Loch Ness Monster exists while a rival hunting party pursues the same discovery.
The story
After his mother dies in a car accident while seeking medicine for him, young Tim travels with his father to Scotland. Others doubt that his father will find the Loch Ness Monster, so Tim decides to search for Nessie himself and prove his father right. Their efforts overlap with those of a group of hunters pursuing the same creature. The hunters’ assistant steals Tim’s map to Loch Ness and secretly keeps it rather than handing it over, prompting suspicion among the other men. As the two searches unfold, Tim’s quest faces interference from the uneasy hunting party.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
The film is about a young boy named Tim whose mother died in a car accident while she was on her way to get medicine for her sick son. When Tim and his father set off for Scotland, nobody believes that Tim’s father will find the Loch Ness Monster. So Tim sets out to look for Nessie to prove that his father is right. At the same time, a group of hunters has set out to search for the Loch Ness Monster. Their assistant has stolen from Tim the map leading to Loch Ness, but does not intend to give it to the others; instead, he secretly keeps it for himself. This begins to arouse some suspicion among the other men, and they keep an eye on their assistant. The story reaches its climax when every member of the hunting party is mysteriously killed during the journey, leaving only a woman and the man who stole the map. When the woman is in mortal danger and her life depends solely on that mysterious man, she realizes that he killed the others and intends to kill her too, because he wants the Loch Ness discovery reward for himself. In the end, however, Tim manages to kill the man and prove that Nessie exists. As a reward, he is given Nessie’s egg to look after.
