When a superhero dog and a shelter dog gain superpowers, they must team up to save the Justice League from a villainous guinea pig.
The story
Superman's pet dog, Krypto, feels jealous of his owner's new relationship and seeks a friend at an animal shelter. There, he encounters Ace, a Boxer who is trying to escape. Their lives are upended when a guinea pig named Lulu, a test subject for LexCorp, gains telekinetic powers from orange kryptonite and sets the shelter on fire. As the other animals in the shelter also gain superpowers, they escape the burning building. Krypto must then lead this group of super-pets to stop Lulu from capturing the Justice League and freeing Lex Luthor.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Superman's dog Krypto feels jealous of Superman's dating life and finds a friend in Ace, a shelter dog. When Lulu, a guinea pig with telekinetic powers from orange kryptonite, sets the shelter on fire, other animals like PB (a pig), Merton (a turtle), and Chip (a squirrel) also gain powers. While Clark Kent is captured by Lulu, Krypto loses his powers after eating a shard of green kryptonite but eventually regains them. Lulu recruits a team of guinea pigs and captures the Justice League to free Lex Luthor. The super-pets confront Lulu at Stryker's Island, where Lulu eventually betrays Luthor. Krypto leads the pets to LexCorp, where they face a weapon-creating kitten named Whiskers. Lulu eventually absorbs the orange kryptonite, becoming a kaiju-sized monster. Krypto uses the 'Solar Paw Punch'—a move that kills the user—to defeat her, but Ace uses his invulnerability to save him. In the end, the pets are adopted by the Justice League members and form the 'League of Super-Pets'.
