A moped accident sets neighborhood children scrambling to raise money, while their parents suspect a nearby trailer camp of theft.
The story
A group of neighborhood children cause an accident with a borrowed moped, which is impounded. To retrieve it and return it to Maarten, the brother of one of the children, they take on odd jobs to raise money and enter a musical competition. They also need to build a set, so they borrow things from their parents. Meanwhile, their parents suspect residents of a trailer camp opposite their apartment building of theft.

A group of neighborhood children cause an accident with a “borrowed” moped, which is then impounded. To get it back so they can return it to Maarten, the brother of one of the children, they take on all kinds of odd jobs to raise money and enter a musical competition. They need to build a set for the competition, so the children “borrow” some things from their parents. The parents suspect the residents of a trailer camp opposite their apartment building of theft. When the children get hold of a pistol and a shot is fired, all hell breaks loose, and the parents devise plans of action against the camp residents. Later, when the apartment-building residents go on vacation together but end up stranded in a farming village, they are ironically the ones regarded as unwelcome outsiders.
