The story
After both his parents die, multimillionaire Jacob sees no point in living, and an attempt to kill himself fails. He turns to Elysium, a company that works to fulfill clients’ wishes. For his final journey, he chooses the “surprise” option, which leaves him unaware of where or when his wish will be fulfilled. At the company, he meets Anne, who has just signed a contract for the same wish. She explains that she is a “traveler,” Elysium’s term for people intending to kill themselves. Jacob takes her with him to comfort her.

Multimillionaire Jacob has everything in life, yet after both his parents die, he no longer sees any point in living. An attempt to kill himself fails, so he turns to Elysium, a company that works to fulfill its clients’ wishes. At the shady company, Jacob chooses the “surprise” option for his final journey, which means he won’t know where or when his wish will be fulfilled. During his visit, he meets Anne, who has also just signed a contract with the same wish. With sad eyes, Anne tells him she has come here as a “traveler,” the company’s term for people who intend to kill themselves. Jacob takes Anne with him so he can comfort her. But this leads to the two of them falling in love. They both regain their desire to live. There is now one major problem: they are both bound by contracts they cannot get out of.
