The story
Richard returns to his hometown of Matlock, Derbyshire, after serving in the British Army. Richard begins by antagonizing Herbie, one of the abusers, and terrorizing the gang members. He discreetly ransacks their flat to steal their drugs and lures the men to a farm where he is staying. The situation escalates as Richard begins to systematically target and terrorize the gang members one by one, leading to a violent confrontation.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Richard returns to Matlock, Derbyshire, to avenge his mentally impaired brother Anthony, who was abused by a local gang. Richard terrorizes the gang members—Herbie, Soz, Tuff, Sonny, Big Al, and Gypsy John—stealing their drugs and luring them to a farm. He kills John, then later kills Al during a confrontation. After the remaining gang members become intoxicated on the stolen drugs, Richard executes Sonny and Soz. He reveals he already killed Tuff and forces Herbie to reveal the location of Mark, another abuser. Mark, who has left crime, is taken to the church where Anthony was tortured. Richard reveals he was embarrassed by Anthony and concludes his revenge has made him a monster; he forces Mark to stab him to death. Mark stumbles home, sobbing with blood on his hands.
