Full plot (contains spoilers)
The vigilante Deadpool, Wade Wilson, embushes Ajax and his convoy on an expressway. The film reveals his backstory: after being discharged from special forces, he became a mercenary and fell in love with Vanessa. Diagnosed with terminal cancer, he accepted an experimental treatment from a recruiter. The treatment, administered by Ajax, gave him a healing factor but left him horribly scarred. After being left for dead by Ajax, Wade becomes the vigilante 'Deadpool' and lives with a blind woman named Al. He hunts down Ajax's associates to find the cure. During the final confrontation, he is joined by the X-Men's Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead. After a battle on a falling Helicarrier, Wade kills Ajax and learns there is no cure. He eventually reconciles with Vanessa after she sees his face. The film ends with a post-credits scene where Wade parodies Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
