After an international flight crashes into the Pacific Ocean, the survivors must fight to stay alive against a swarm of circling sharks.
The story
During Northeastern Airlines Flight 140, an international flight from Los Angeles to Shanghai, an improperly stowed power bank ignites a fire in the aircraft's cargo hold, leading to an explosion that ruptures the cabin and destroys an engine. As rows of passengers are ripped out of the plane, captain Rich and first officer Ben are forced to make an emergency ocean landing. The aircraft strikes a coral reef, separating the survivors into three sections of wreckage. The survivors must navigate the treacherous waters and the immediate threat of a group of circling sharks while attempting to coordinate a rescue and find safety among the debris.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
After an explosion caused by a power bank, Northeastern Airlines Flight 140 crashes into a coral reef in the Pacific Ocean. The wreckage splits into three sections. In the forward section, Captain Rich is trapped and orders First Officer Ben to lead the others to safety. In the middle section, Ben and a young girl named Cora are joined by others, but they are hunted by sharks. In the tail section, several crew members and passengers are trapped in an air pocket; some attempt to swim for help but are attacked. As night falls, a U.S. Navy rescue helicopter arrives, but its crew is quickly devoured by sharks, causing the helicopter to crash. Amidst the chaos, some survivors are lost to the predators. Eventually, a Chinese fishing boat arrives; the fishermen use bait to lure the sharks away, allowing the survivors to be rescued. The film ends with the survivors reunited and Ben returning home to his family.
