Dengler - Kreuzberg Blues (2021)

In Berlin-Kreuzberg, a property developer wants to drive the residents of two buildings out so he can build a new urban development with luxury apartments. Rats are released in one of the buildings. One rat gets into an apartment and injures a baby. The only person who could be behind it is real estate investor Jan Kröger, who wants the residential complex demolished. Kröger, however, denies the allegations. At first, it seems that Kröger really is not responsible for releasing the rats. A resident photographs the people who release them and informs a pub owner. She sends two of her customers to damage the vehicle belonging to the people who were photographed. Ezra, the injured baby’s mother and a friend of Olga’s, asks her for help. Dengler is persuaded by his assistant, Olga Illiescu, to investigate in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Then Kröger of all people hires Dengler to find out who released the rats. This gives Dengler insight into Kröger’s company. The company’s legal counsel, Gross, and Kröger’s daughter Charlotte seem particularly suspicious. After the rat operation, those responsible commit even more despicable acts and engage in criminal schemes.
