Full plot (contains spoilers)
This is an adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s modern fairy tale, which was first published in East Germany in 1965. The sets and costumes stay close to the book’s illustrations. Since neither the content nor the text of the book underwent major changes for the film, the plot summary in *The Little Prince* is accurate. The characters of the Drunkard from the third star and the Researcher from the sixth star are not included in the film.
