Der Ranger - Paradies Heimat: Vaterliebe (2018)

After the lease document is found, the Waldek family’s livelihood is secure again and the dispute with Nollau is settled. Even so, Jonas does not trust him. This is especially true when Nollau reveals his plans to focus entirely on tourism and add a climbing park to his old mine tunnel. But the ranger has other problems: for some time, apparently deliberate acts of vandalism have been on the rise in the national park. Damaged signposts are the least of it, as the perpetrators do not even hesitate to loosen safety ropes on hiking trails and climbing routes, for example. Jonas suspects these actions are intended to scare off hikers and climbers and thereby cause lasting damage to tourism. Jonas and his colleagues are on alert and keeping watch, but a climbing accident still occurs—and during the preliminary inspection of Nollau’s cliffs for the planned climbing park, of all times. The three teenage activists are tracked down, but Waldek’s colleague recognizes his daughter among them and lets her go. In their next act, the three perpetrators put up a banner in Nollau’s mining museum. The teenager Morten then flies into a rage, smashes display cases, and pushes Waldek’s nephew Lukas down the stairs, sending him straight to the hospital. Morten remains convinced of his actions. He tries to demolish Nollau’s show mine with an excavator, burying the entire entrance, and then flees. Nollau and Waldek, the two people trapped in the mine, are eventually rescued. A little later, the police take Morten away.
