Der Schädel der Pharaonentochter (1920)

The film is about a pharaonic tragedy that spans six different eras. The first episode tells the story of the beginning and dramatic end of the love affair between Princess Amnertis, the Pharaoh’s daughter, and her beloved Tirhaka, until the latter is killed violently. This drama gives rise to a curse that has consequences throughout the centuries in the following episodes. Everyone who comes into possession of the skull of the long-deceased Pharaoh’s daughter must die violently, until the day the skull is sunk in the sea. Only in the final episode does its current owner manage to throw Amnertis’s skull into the open sea in time.
