Desperados On The Block (2009)

Three students meet in the elevator of a student residence. Motek, a deaf Latvian student, has fallen in love with the woman in charge of the library and wants to win her over without speaking. He writes her a note asking her to spend a day with him without speaking. To his surprise, she agrees. The reserved Sin Xuah, from Shanghai, has been studying in Germany for a year. To pay for it, he tutors students in mathematics. His first student, Hanna, throws him off balance. She takes advantage of his uncertainty as her sexuality begins to awaken. The devout Romanian student Clara studies Catholic theology. She lives only for God and wants nothing else. Since she used to receive an answer when she spoke to Him, but no longer does, she decides to break all ten commandments so that He will hear her again. She tells the student Dominik about her plan, and a scandal ensues. She has to decide whether another person’s trust or God’s attention matters more to her.
