The story
Sixteen-year-old Isabell makes life difficult for her single mother, Jule, who sends her to a self-discovery seminar during the summer holidays. The program is run by therapist couple Einar and Meret in Poland’s Owl Mountains. Isabell is unmotivated and initially wants only to get through the group therapy, but she gradually responds to the community’s sense of togetherness. She grows closer to Einar and feels attracted to him, although he is much older. The group’s unsettled routine changes when Saskia, another participant, is found dead in the woods, and Isabell’s situation turns nightmarish.
