A police officer and a shopkeeper must navigate a series of deadly games set across New York City to stop a terrorist's plot.

The story

After a bomb explodes in a New York City department store, a mysterious terrorist named "Simon" begins a series of demands. He forces NYPD Lieutenant John McClane to participate in a series of 'Simon Says' games across the city. McClane finds himself forced into an uneasy alliance with a local shopkeeper named Zeus Carver. Together, the pair must navigate various high-stakes challenges and timed obstacles to stop the terrorist's ultimate goal: the theft of gold bullion from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. As the clock ticks, they must navigate the city's streets and underground tunnels to thwart the plot.

Following a bomb blast at a department store, a terrorist named Simon demands that NYPD Lieutenant John McClane complete a series of 'Simon Says' games. McClane is forced to team up with a shopkeeper, Zeus Carver. They navigate a series of challenges, including a bomb on a subway train and a diversion involving a fake threat to a school. McClane discovers that Simon's true goal is to steal $140 billion in gold bullion from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. The pair follows the gold through a water tunnel and onto a ship in the harbor. After a tense standoff on the ship, they realize the gold is being moved to a warehouse near the Canadian border. In a final confrontation, McClane and Carver confront Simon and his accomplice, Katya. McClane successfully destroys their helicopter, ending the threat.
