Die Liebe ein Traum (2008)

Japanese studies student Anna Kofler and architecture student Max Lessing are made for each other. But although they are both passionate about one another, somehow they never quite get together. While still at university, the chaotic Anna chooses her career over a relationship with Max and takes an internship in Japan. They lose touch. About five years later, they meet again. This time, Anna asks him to accompany her to New York City, where she has a job. But Max can’t. And so they run into each other now and then over the years, repeatedly finding that, despite their lingering feelings, things never work out between them—until Max receives an invitation to Anna’s wedding.
