The story
Employees at a discount supermarket face difficult working conditions and the threat of layoffs as self-checkout tills are about to be introduced. They decide to set up a parallel shop, sourcing goods from their employer’s stock. Some of those goods would otherwise be wasted because of their use-by dates and the business model of large-scale retail.
