Full plot (contains spoilers)
A demon's pursuit of America Chavez and a variant of Stephen Strange leads to a portal to Earth-616. There, the local Strange and Wong find Chavez, who can travel the multiverse but cannot control it. Strange discovers that Wanda Maximoff, now the Scarlet Witch, is responsible for the attacks and seeks Chavez's powers to reunite with her children. After a confrontation at Kamar-Taj, Chavez and Strange are transported to Earth-838, where they encounter the Illuminati. Wanda eventually takes control of her Earth-838 counterpart and destroys the Illuminati. Strange and Chavez flee with Christine Palmer. After Wanda destroys the Book of Vishanti and takes over Chavez's mind, Strange uses the Darkhold to 'dreamwalk' into a deceased counterpart's body. He eventually saves Chavez from Wanda, leading her to confront the reality of her actions. Wanda ultimately sacrifices herself to destroy all copies of the Darkhold. The film ends with Strange developing a third eye and being warned of a new incursion.
