The story
Grieving mother Iris inadvertently comes across a serial killer, who injects her with a paralytic agent. She must escape by running, fighting and hiding before it takes full effect and her body shuts down. After a confrontation in a park leads to her being abducted and injected, Iris finds herself in a desperate race against time. As the drug begins to take hold, she must navigate a dangerous environment to find safety before her body shuts down.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Iris, mourning the loss of her son, visits a memorial in a California state park. She is confronted by a man named Richard, who lures her into a trap, kidnaps her, and injects her with a paralyzing agent. After a car crash, Iris escapes into a forest where she is found by a farmer named Bill. Richard arrives and kills Bill during a confrontation. Iris later escapes and encounters a gas station and a highway patrol officer, both of whom Richard kills. He takes her to a lake to drown her. In a final struggle, Iris manages to stab and shoot Richard. She survives the ordeal and walks away, acknowledging that he gave her a new will to live.
