After losing his illegal job at a car scrapyard, Frank leaves home to earn €12,000 before returning to Maroussia.
The story
Frank is forced out of the car scrapyard where he has been working illegally. With work scarce in his region, he must leave home to look for a job elsewhere, despite his deep attachment to the life he shares with Maroussia. Together, they settle on a target of twelve thousand euros: Frank is to earn that amount before returning. His absence raises questions about whether he will remain faithful to Maroussia and to himself—and whether he will come back at all.
