The story
In 1480 AD, Prince Vlad of Wallachia is deeply in love with his wife, Princess Elisabeta. When she is tragically killed during a journey, a grief-stricken Vlad renounces God and becomes the vampire known as Dracula. Over the next four centuries, he survives by creating a network of agents and a special perfume to find her. In 1889, while dealing with a solicitor in Paris, he discovers that the man's fiancée, Mina, is the reincarnation of his lost wife. He takes her to Paris to rekindle their love and awaken her memories of their past life together.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
In 1480 AD, Prince Vlad of Wallachia is devastated by the death of his wife, Elisabeta, after she is ambushed while riding. In his grief, he renounces God and becomes the vampire Dracula. For 400 years, he searches for her reincarnation. In 1889, he encounters the solicitor Jonathan Harker and discovers that Harker's fiancée, Mina, is the reincarnation he seeks. He imprisons Harker and takes Mina to Paris, where they rekindle their romance. Mina asks to be turned into a vampire to stay with him forever. Meanwhile, Harker escapes and finds a priest and allies to hunt Dracula. They lay siege to his castle. During the confrontation, the priest urges Dracula to repent. Dracula allows himself to be staked by the priest and dies in Mina's arms, declaring his eternal love for her.
