Full plot (contains spoilers)
Christmas is just around the corner in the small town of Kjedly. Everyone is dressing up for the festivities, singing Christmas carols, and baking gingerbread and other treats. But at the same time, 11-year-old Sara is trying to hide from the police—and breaking into various houses left empty for the holidays, hoping to find food and warmth. Then a gigantic, fire-breathing dragon suddenly crash-lands in the house where she plans to celebrate Christmas, turning everything upside down. Sara is forced to ask one of the boys in the neighborhood, Mortimer, for help. He dreams of becoming a famous YouTube star. Together, Sara and Mortimer decide to help the dragon get back to where it came from, preferably before anyone else in Kjedly discovers what has really happened. But it turns out to be very difficult to stay hidden from the police with a huge fire-breathing dragon.
