The story
Bard Edgin Darvis and barbarian Holga Kilgore, both currently imprisoned for a heist gone wrong, must navigate a dangerous quest to reclaim Ed's daughter and find a way to clear their names. They assemble a ragtag team of companions—including a sorcerer, a druid, and a con artist—to infiltrate a high-security vault and retrieve a powerful artifact. As they journey through the land, they must contend with magical defenses and the looming threat of a powerful Red Wizard who seeks to use the stolen items for a dark purpose.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
After being imprisoned for grand larceny, bard Edgin Darvis and barbarian Holga Kilgore escape to Neverwinter. They discover that Ed's daughter, Kira, is being held by Forge Fitzwilliam, who has become the Lord of Neverwinter under the influence of a Red Wizard named Sofina. To rescue Kira and find a 'Tablet of Reawakening' to resurrect Ed's late wife, the pair recruits a sorcerer named Simon, a druid named Doric, and a paladin named Xenk Yendar. The group travels through the Underdark to retrieve the 'Helm of Disjunction' to bypass magical defenses. During the High Sun Games, they infiltrate Forge's vault, only to find it a trap set by Sofina. They eventually escape the stadium and steal a boat carrying Forge's riches. In the final confrontation, they stop Sofina's plan to turn the crowd into an undead army. Ed uses the tablet to resurrect Holga after she is fatally injured. The film ends with the group being hailed as heroes, while Forge is sent to the prison where Ed and Holga were held.
