The story
Elizabeth "Liz" Gilbert has been married for eight years and has a successful career, but she feels lost and seeks a divorce from her husband, Stephen. Following the split, she finds herself facing uncertainty and decides to embark on a transformative journey across Italy, India, and Bali. In Italy, she focuses on the joy of local cuisine; in India, she stays at an ashram to explore the power of prayer; and in Bali, she seeks a new sense of self and connection. The film follows her quest for meaning and self-discovery as she navigates different cultures and personal milestones.

Elizabeth "Liz" Gilbert, feeling unfulfilled in her stable life, seeks a divorce from her husband Stephen and has a brief affair with David. She travels to Italy, where she spends four months enjoying the local food and culture. She then moves to India, staying at an ashram where she performs humble tasks and finds spiritual focus. Finally, she travels to Bali, Indonesia. There, she meets a local healer named Ketut and a Brazilian man named Felipe. After a series of events, including a physical injury and a burgeoning romance with Felipe, she faces a moment of hesitation when he proposes. However, after seeking advice from Ketut to embrace love without fear, she reconciles her feelings, confesses her love to Felipe, and finds her inner peace.
