Full plot (contains spoilers)

Berlin politician Hans-Werner Glehdorn has recently become the single father of his three children, Michael, Jennifer, and Toby. To help him manage the balancing act between work and family, he often asks his sister-in-law, Claudia Weigoldt, for help. But the children are annoyed by their aunt and, after learning from their mother’s will that they own a houseboat on the Müritz, run away from home to check out their holiday home. There they meet Isabell, the young daughter of Berlin construction magnate Harry Kolditz. She, too, is fleeing her family after leaving her fiancé standing at the altar. Now her father and the tabloid press are looking for her. Since Hans-Werner suspects where his children are, he later joins them as well. He doesn’t know who Isabell is, so his children persuade him to hire her as a housekeeper and nanny for the summer holidays. At first, Hans-Werner and Isabell clash. But she manages to see the grieving man beneath his tough exterior. She helps him find emotional peace again, and the two grow closer. But a paparazzo photographs these intimate moments, and they are published in the tabloids. Suddenly, Hans-Werner is under suspicion of corruption, since he recently approved a major city construction contract for Isabell’s father. As a result, not only his career but also his budding relationship with Isabell is at stake.
