To unwind after a failed relationship, teacher Senta has rented a winery house in Styria for her summer holiday. She wants to write a mathematics book there in peace, dealing among other things with Zeno’s paradoxes. But her chosen solitude is soon disturbed by unexpected visitors. First, the local gendarmerie inspector Ludwig, who is partial to a glass of wine, pays her a visit; then the owner of the house unexpectedly turns up as well. The landlord is Stefan Schuster, who works as a cook in Salzburg. Senta cannot resist his charm for long, and the two fall in love.
