Full plot (contains spoilers)

Architect and construction manager Greta M. is a 40-year-old single mother of a 12-year-old boy who recently lost her job at an architectural firm. In debt, she applies for a job at a call center. Her son thinks this kind of work is beneath her and becomes rebellious. After a short time, she is fired from the call center because she is too understanding of customers’ lack of interest, which means she cannot sell any prefabricated houses. Greta turns to alcohol, and her relationship with her son grows increasingly distant. She loses her footing in life and drifts from one platitude to the next. She tries to swim against the tide of society’s conventional assumptions and express her creativity. On this trip to Berlin, she encounters the “City of Women.”
