The story
Isabella, the sheltered Crown Princess of Luxenstein, longs to experience ordinary life before she marries Prince Ferdinand of Saxony-Anhalt and takes the throne. With her royal family’s permission, she goes incognito to Berlin to complete an internship at the Luxenstein Embassy. There, she is hired by Luk, a gardener redesigning the embassy garden. Luk soon suspects that the new intern is concealing a secret, but this does not prevent him from gradually falling in love with her. Isabella develops the same feelings for Luk, setting her desire for a different life against the expectations surrounding her royal future.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
She wants to experience an ordinary life for once: Isabella, the sheltered Crown Princess of Luxenstein. She wants to fulfill this wish before marrying Prince Ferdinand of Saxony-Anhalt and taking the throne. With the royal family’s permission, she is therefore allowed to complete her internship at the Luxenstein Embassy in Berlin incognito. She is hired as an intern by Luk, a gardener whose job is to redesign the embassy garden. Luk soon realizes, however, that the new intern has a secret, but this does not stop him from gradually falling in love with Isabella. Isabella develops the same feelings for Luk. When the press eventually learns that Isabella seems to be having an affair shortly before her wedding, the King and Prince Ferdinand travel to Berlin to bring her back. At a press conference, it is then decided to move the wedding forward.
