After the collapse of a massive crystal meth empire, Jesse Pinkman must navigate a perilous journey to find a new life.

The story

Following the events of the television series Breaking Bad, Jesse Pinkman finds himself in a desperate situation after being held captive by a neo-Nazi gang. He manages to escape and begins a frantic journey to distance himself from his past and the dangerous world of methamphetamine production. Seeking a way to start over, Jesse navigates the landscape of Albuquerque and beyond, attempting to outrun his former associates and the consequences of his actions. The film serves as an epilogue to the series, focusing on Jesse's attempt to find redemption and a new identity while dealing with the fallout of the empire he helped build.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

The film begins with a flashback where Jesse Pinkman asks Mike Ehrmantraut how to start over; Mike suggests Alaska. In the present, Jesse escapes a compound in a car called the El Camino. He visits friends Skinny Pete and Badger, who hide the car and provide him with a place to sleep. Jesse then attempts to dispose of the car, but the plan goes awry when the car's tracker is discovered. He eventually flees in a different vehicle, learning of Walter White's death. The narrative intercuts with flashbacks of Jesse's captivity under Todd Alquist. In the present, Jesse searches Todd's apartment and encounters two men, Neil Kandy and Casey, who are also searching for Todd's money. After a tense standoff and a shootout where Jesse kills both men, he seeks help from Ed Galbraith, a 'disappearer.' Because he is short on the required fee, Jesse steals guns from his parents' home and confronts Neil's associates at a welding shop, ultimately killing them. The film concludes with Jesse arriving in Alaska, where he leaves a letter for a contact and reflects on his past with Jane Margolis before heading toward a new life.
