A 16-year-old navigating crushes, friendship, and her parents’ separation finds adolescence anything but ordinary.

The story

Sixteen-year-old Carlota is in love with Oriol, an athlete, but becomes confused after discovering sex with Sergio, a seemingly ideal suitor. Her parents are separating, and her best friends Elisa and Mireia offer little help: Elisa disguises herself as a boy to be near Lucas, while Mireia sets out to seduce Oriol, betraying Carlota. As Carlota tries to make sense of love, friendship, and family upheaval, her life takes a series of unexpected turns.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Carlota (Andrea Ros) is 16 and in love with an athlete named Oriol (Marcel Borràs), but she discovers sex with Sergio (David Castillo), the son-in-law every mother would want for her daughter. Carlota is confused, but neither her parents (who are separating) nor her best friends Elisa (Lydia Fairén) and Mireia (Lorena Mateo) can help her. Among other things, Elisa disguises herself as a boy so she can be close to Lucas (Maxi Iglesias), whom she is madly in love with, while Mireia has set out to seduce Oriol, thereby betraying her best friend. Carlota leads a wild life: she is rescued from a ledge by an army of firefighters; she wins a judo competition despite knowing nothing about martial arts; and she takes pregnancy tests with the help of a dog. The sort of ordinary things that tend to happen to a young woman.
