Full plot (contains spoilers)

Rosamonde du Bois de la Faisanderie—her real name is Clara Trompette, also known as “The Princess,” “Mémène,” and “The Boss”—is regarded as the leader of a shantytown in Champigny-sur-Marne, in the Paris suburbs. She is surrounded by a team of hopeless misfits and other servants worthy of the Court of Miracles. Her main business is based on acquiring various goods at no cost, but her principal activity is to liquidate, disperse, atomize, and then make evildoers and other nuisances disappear completely. Thanks to an ingenious machine, she recycles everyone fate allows her to process, to the sound of cheerful samba music. Their entire bodies, along with their accessories, are automatically removed, sorted, and separated into specific compartments or drawers. Their bones can also serve as “holy relics” intended for ecclesiastical authorities. To fulfill a very special order for relics of Jesus, Rosamonde must find the man whose features best match the requested criteria. A handsome, thirty-something beatnik who unmistakably resembles the image of Jesus has just arrived in the shantytown. He is followed by a journalist interested in the case, as well as several police officers and investigators. The machine is getting ready to run at full capacity, but the encounter between the Princess and this “pop Jesus” will turn into a love story and have surprising effects on the shantytown’s small community of crooks…
