The story

In the late 21st century, an interstellar war breaks out between the human Bilateral Terran Alliance (BTA) and the bipedal reptilian Dracs. During a space battle in 2092, human fighter pilot Willis E. Davidge and Drac pilot Jeriba Shigan engage in a dogfight, which results in both crash-landing on Fyrine IV, a planet whose surface is largely a hostile volcanic wasteland.
