Full plot (contains spoilers)
Enola Holmes opens her own detective agency and is hired by Bessie to find her missing sister, Sarah Chapman. The search leads Enola to a match factory where she discovers that the workers are being poisoned by white phosphorus, not typhus. Enola finds clues leading to a secret lover and eventually reunites with Sarah, who is hiding under the name Cicely. Meanwhile, Sherlock Holmes is investigating a blackmail scheme orchestrated by Moriarty. The two siblings eventually work together to uncover the truth about the match factory's owner and the corruption of Lord McIntyre. They discover that Sarah's lover, William, is also a victim of the conspiracy. After a series of confrontations and a fight where Enola defeats Superintendent Grail, the truth is revealed: Mira Troy is actually Moriarty. The film ends with the match girls going on strike, the villains being apprehended, and Enola establishing a new office while her relationship with Tewkesbury deepens.
