A group of survivors must navigate a series of increasingly deadly and complex escape rooms designed by a mysterious organization.

The story

After surviving the 'sole survivor' escape rooms of the Minos Corporation, Zoey Davis and Ben Miller track the organization to its New York City headquarters. After a confrontation leads them onto a subway train, they find themselves trapped in a series of lethal rooms. The group, consisting of previous 'winners' of the games, must solve complex puzzles and navigate deadly traps—including electricity, lasers, and quicksand—to survive. As they progress, Zoey begins to uncover the dark history of the organization and the tragic circumstances of those who built the rooms.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Zoey Davis and Ben Miller track the Minos Corporation to New York City. After a chase leads them onto a subway train, they are trapped in a series of deadly rooms. The group includes other 'winners' like Rachel, Brianna, Nathan, and Theo. They navigate a high-voltage train, a bank with lasers, and a beach of quicksand where Nathan is lost. In a beach area, Ben falls into quicksand while Zoey and Rachel find an alternate path. They later face a room with acid rain, where Rachel and Brianna are killed. Zoey eventually finds a diary from Sonya, revealing that the room designer, Amanda Harper, was forced into the role by Minos after her daughter's death. Amanda offers Zoey a chance to become the next designer, but Zoey refuses. They escape the facility and report it to the police. However, in a final twist, Zoey and Ben board a plane only to realize it is another trap; the plane begins to fall as gas fills the cabin.
