Full plot (contains spoilers)
Rosa (Ariane Ascaride), a nurse at Timone Hospital who is close to retirement, is working hard to bring together left-wing and environmentalist activists for the upcoming municipal elections. Her son Sarkis (Robinson Stévenin), who runs the bar in the Noailles neighborhood, is in love with Alice (Lola Naymark), an actress who campaigns alongside residents of the neighborhood affected by the collapse of the buildings on Rue d’Aubagne. Alice also leads a choir, which she has rehearse Charles Aznavour’s song “Emmenez-moi.” Henri (Jean-Pierre Darroussin), Alice’s father, has just retired and handed over his bookshop. He temporarily moves to Marseille to be closer to his daughter. He gets to know Rosa and the small circle around her: Tonio (Gérard Meylan), her taxi-driver brother; Minas (Grégoire Leprince-Ringuet), her other son, who is a doctor; Paula (Pauline Caupenne), her daughter-in-law; and Laëtitia, a young nurse lodging with Tonio. Some members of the pink-green electoral alliance want Rosa to head their municipal election list, but she feels disillusioned and dreams of slowing down, so she is not very enthusiastic about the prospect. Her brand-new relationship with Henri quickly turns into a love story. Her two sons, Minas and Sarkis, are deeply attached to their Armenian roots and want to support Armenia in its war against Azerbaijan. Sarkis also dreams of a large family, which he sees as a way of avenging the Armenian genocide. This upsets Alice, who does not dare tell him that she is infertile. Rosa will tactfully explain the situation to her son. The Rue d’Aubagne residents’ collective has decided to rename the nearby square Place du 5 Novembre, to preserve the memory of the event. A ceremony is held, during which Alice, Tonio, and several members of their close-knit group speak.
