The story
The father, an alcoholic, meets the mother in a pub, and they marry three months later. Soon they begin visiting a family counselor whose philosophical advice is of little help, partly because of his limited German, yet they keep returning despite the language barrier. Full plot (contains spoilers)
The father, an alcoholic, and the mother meet in a pub and marry three months later. Before long, the two seek out a family counselor, whose philosophical advice does them little good because of his Asian background and very limited German. Despite the language barrier, they keep going back to him. Despite all their marital disputes, the couple have a daughter and a son, whom they raise with the same harshness. Family life is marked by the man and woman making each other’s lives hell and neglecting their children. Once the children turn twelve, their parents put them out on the street at just the right time so they can become independent and develop the will to survive. Afterward, the couple once again enjoy life to the fullest, until they are expecting another child.
