The Fantastic Four must team up with their nemesis, Doctor Doom, to stop the Silver Surfer from leading a cosmic entity to Earth.

The story

The US government tasks Reed Richards with tracking a mysterious, meteor-like object that has entered Earth's atmosphere, causing environmental disturbances and power outages. While Reed and his fiancée, Susan Storm, prepare for their wedding, the appearance of a humanoid alien on a flying surfboard—the Silver Surfer—disrupts their plans. Reed discovers that the Surfer's presence has altered the molecular structure of his teammate, Johnny Storm. As the threat grows, the team must navigate the consequences of the Surfer's arrival, which is linked to a cosmic entity known as Galactus, and decide whether to continue their roles as heroes or seek a normal life.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

After a meteor-like object causes global disturbances, the Fantastic Four encounter the Silver Surfer. The Surfer's presence causes Johnny Storm's molecular structure to fluctuate, allowing him to swap powers with his teammates. The team tracks the Surfer's path, which leads to the liberation of Victor von Doom from a frozen state in Latveria. Doom, now restored to human form, forms an uneasy alliance with the government and the Fantastic Four to deal with the Surfer. They discover the Surfer is a herald for Galactus, a cosmic entity seeking to consume Earth. After a series of battles, including a confrontation in Shanghai where Sue is injured, the team manages to separate the Surfer from his power-providing board. However, Doom steals the board to escape. The team eventually frees the Surfer, who is inspired by Sue's bravery to turn against Galactus. In a final confrontation in the stratosphere, the Surfer and Johnny battle the cosmic entity. Following the battle, Reed and Sue marry in Japan, and the team remains together. In a post-credits scene, the Silver Surfer is seen drifting through space before his eyes open and his board returns to him.
