Full plot (contains spoilers)
Outraged that Fantômas is still not behind bars, the press launches a campaign accusing Commissioner Juve of being the criminal himself. Under media pressure, Juve is arrested, but Fantômas is all too happy to fuel the rumor by helping Juve escape so he can hold him captive. While Fandor conducts his own investigation, Tom Bob, an American detective, arrives to help—and ridicule—the French police, who are in disarray.
