Full plot (contains spoilers)
In 1666, Sarah Fier, living in the settlement of Union, discovers a book of black magic while gathering berries with friends. After a local pastor, Cyrus Miller, murders several children, the town blames Sarah and her friend Hannah for witchcraft. Sarah eventually discovers that Solomon Goode offered Cyrus to the Devil for power. During a struggle with Solomon, Sarah's hand is severed. To save Hannah from execution, Sarah publicly claims to be the witch and is hanged, swearing vengeance. In 1994, Deena discovers the Goode family's role in the curse. She, Josh, and Ziggy team up with Martin to lure Sheriff Nick Goode to a mall to be killed by the Shadyside killers. During the confrontation, Deena manages to temporarily break a possession on Sam. Nick is eventually confronted by the visions of past victims and is killed by Sarah, who possesses Deena. The curse is broken, and life improves for the residents of Shadyside. In a mid-credits scene, an unknown person steals the widow's satanic book from the tunnels.
